ISSUE 01 | MARCH 2021

newsletter: greetings from Randstad India!

The new year brings a ray of sunshine into the post pandemic world with the vaccines bringing some much awaited relief. CXOs around the world have been nothing less than super-heroes, have led their organizations through these unprecedented times, running businesses with an unwavering focus, agility and empathy to the best of their ability. At Randstad, we are keenly aware of how these changes have impacted workplace dynamics at an alarmingly rapid pace. Beginning this month, we will bring you, our esteemed CXO community, a snapshot of the developments around the globe with some key insights that will provide fuel for thought.

breaking invisible barriers

In this section, we will talk about women leaders that have inspired us and made their mark in the world. We feel the first story in this segment belongs to Vice President Kamala Harris – a formidable attorney with an illustrious career and now second-in-command to the President of the USA.

Ms. Harris completed her undergraduate studies at Howard University and later attended the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She was a trailblazer at the San Francisco District Attorney’s office, tough on crime, yet standing up for women and children. Throughout her career, she has remained determined in fighting fair – be it privacy laws, foreclosure practices in banking or rehabilitation programs for criminals.

While Ms. Harris carries several ‘firsts’ with her – first Asian American, first African American and the first woman to be elected to such a high ranking office, not many know that she has written three books – ‘Smart on Crime: A Career Prosecutor’s Plan’, ‘The Truths We Hold: An American Journey’ and an illustrated children’s book titled Superheroes Are Everywhere. Indeed, she can be counted as one of the most talented, forthright and multi-faceted leaders across the world today.

Ms. Harris is a unique example, but she is certainly not the only woman leading change in the world. New Zealand’s Jacinda Ardern or Estonia’s recently elected Prime Minister, Kaja Kallas are both examples of how women leaders are demonstrating extraordinary leadership skills and leading by example.

featured CXO of the month: Paul Dupuis, CEO of Randstad India

We will feature CXOs and their stories of leadership, resolve, determination, and success in this segment. In this edition, we feature Paul Dupuis, CEO of Randstad India.

Paul was appointed CEO of Randstad India in 2017. Dupuis has over 24 years of experience in Asia across Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Korea. He is responsible for leading Randstad’s operations, overseeing multiple locations across India. In addition, Paul has been a versatile leader in developing strategies for the profitable growth of Randstad’s wide range of businesses in India.

Paul is also the author of ‘The E5 Movement: Leadership Through the Rule of Five’. With a career built through game-changing leadership, the book takes from his own real-life experiences as an athlete, volunteer and CEO. The E5 is a unique leadership model; a call to action to all leaders, globally, to inspire and lead for change. The five Es include: envision, express, excite, enable, and execute.

If you would like to be featured or know someone whom we can feature as the CXO of the month, write to us with a brief bio.
